Alumni Equestrian events is the next generation

Catch riding horses is nothing new and alumni riders have partaken in IHSA shows since very early on in the organization. AEE is the next generation for IHSA graduates. We offer a flexible approach to adult catch riding opportunities with year round competition opportunities and post season finals to celebrate top riders.

AEE ALUMNI FAQ

How do I know if I am eligible to compete in AEE Alumni classes?

If you were a member of the IHSA, NCAA, NCEA or IDA as an undergraduate student and competed in at least once, you are eligible to compete.  Riders must have more than 24 weeks of mounted instruction for Alumni Hunter Seat Equitation on the Flat and Alumni Western Horsemanship. Alumni Hunter Seat Equitation is open to eligible alumni with a degree of skill equivalent to at least IHSA Novice riders and either 1) showed in IHSA Over Fences classes as an undergraduate, or 2)  have had six months of continuous professional training over fences within the past 12 months.

Do I have to compete in the same region where my college competes?

You represent your college and compete in an AEE Zone close to where you live.  You no longer need to specify a region and will only declare a Zone. Any AEE shows you compete in (the top 10 of up to 15) will count towards your Zone points total. To learn more about alumni competition in your area, please email alumnieqevents@gmail.com.

How do I apply for a competing AEE alumni membership?
